Default Raymarine CHIRP CP450C & Airmar B265LH Issues

Anyone out there having the same issues as in this thread? Before I pay $1,500 to haul the boat and re-install the same transducer I was hoping to get feedback. Hate to have the same issue in another 4-6 weeks. I am not the only one and curious if more are out there. It has been a frustrating process with Raymarine.

Default We will see.

Airmar has no record of any issues with their B265LH transducers . The fact we both had the exact same issue after the same software upgrade after 6 weeks of use with no issues makes me question this a bit. Only trying to find out if any others out there have experienced this. When I spoke with the floor supervisor, Winston Savage who manages all repair issues, he had no clue this issue was happening to more than one person. I referred him to the technical forum and he said he overseas the forum and did not know this issue was going on. When I asked him to find out who the technician was handling the other person with this identical issue to see if they actually 'tested' the 'defective transducer' he had no concern with doing this. Pretty much said I was bothering him and they are too busy handing other repairs/warranty issues to deal with this. Told me I need to spend $1,500 on a new transducer to test the problem.

We will see. After $20,000 in electronics I am not too happy with their service. It sounds like they are having too many issues with their technology and understaffed to handle it. Not sure if they cut staff when Flir bought them or if this is always an issue with Raymarine. I have had no issues discussing problems or getting help with Furuno and Garmin this summer. We will see how it is resolved.

My concern is why pay $1,500 to haul the boat and reinstall the same transducer if the CP450C may have issues with this transducer. Maybe another transducer would be better.
