Default Furuno rsb0071-057 no rotation...

Been looking at a buddy's radar (NavNet 2). Everything else works, no radar display...antenna does not rotate. On the Plotter, no errors, just four "*" dead center. They're arranged like this:
**.**

Everything in the radome looks good, no corrosion, signs of leakage etc...I first thought the motor - do those go out? It's about 6-7 years old and he said he's never had it serviced.

Any of you have advice/thoughts for me?

Mine quit rotating because the belt for motor slipped off the gear fixed it 2 years ago no problems since.

**-** means the network settings are trying to pull radar from another unit in the system that either isn't there or whose LAN card is bad and is no longer being "seen" by the other units. You need to go into install mode, see what the device name is, check radar source, if radar source and device name are different, they need to be the same. Then change radar type, do your radar optimization/auto tune, and you should be in business
