Exclamation Simrad NSE - Way Point Labels - On Chart

Guys, I imported nearly 2000 waypoint today and they all show up on the chart but none of them have labels. Is there a way to turn on labels? They were exported from MacEnc via GPX file.

I am sort of stuck and need to get this figured out ASAP. I called simrad and just missed them.

There is no global command to switch off and on waypoint names. Waypoint names can be individually switched on or off. Check one of the waypoints if the name is switched on. Most probably the names have been lost during the conversion.

Ouch, so if the waypoints are listed as waypoint only their is no way to switch all of them to way point and name (assuming the name transferred as the name show up in the list)? Really.....

The default setting is that both icon and name is switched on. Since you don't have the names they are probably missing in the file you loaded, but go into Edit mode for one of the waypoints and you will see.

Zoom in very closely. They may be there. I can't see mine until I zoom right in on them.

I don't like the fact that you can't see the waypoints until you are zoomed way in.

place cursor over a waypoint to see if the name is actually there. Or go to a pacific waypoint then enter "edit' to see if name + icon are selected. If the names are present then things aren't as bad as they could be. An yes, I don't like the fact that you have to zoom way in on waypoints to see the name, The range for complete display should be adjustable by user, but......

I can see why they did this, though - my GPS (even on my old 10.5" Humminbird) would get so cluttered with overlapping names if the waypoints were close together. Even zoomed in quite a bit sometimes they did this.

I like being able to just do a Search and find which waypoint to set it to go to, and then zoom in to the area as I approach just in case I wish to see other nearby waypoints.

I made my major waypoints a different color. That way I see them and know where to look for the minor points. It gives you a point of reference.

Anyone know if Simrad addressed this? Seems like you should be able to see names while zoomed out if you want to? As mentioned above, I have changed color and symbols for some of my better waypoints but I would still like to have the option to see names while zoomed out. Thanks.

Thanks abbor. Seems like an easy one for them to address in a software update. I'm clearly not the only one irritated by this feature omission ;?. I guess making certain waypoints visually stand out is the way for now.
