Default Do I need to get a new MSSI number?

I'm putting my old VHF with DCS in my new boat.

Do I have to gt a new MSSI number or do anything to my VHF?

If I have to get a new MSSI number, how do I go about doing it?

Any help will be appreciated.

You should just be able to update the info associated with your mmsi number, I believe. Try going to the website where you registered it (boat us or...).

Try to edit your MMSI file data first. You probably got it through Boat/US or SeaTow. Check your VHF manual carefully to see how many times you are permitted to enter a MMSI number before it must be shipped off to be reset. ICOM usually gives you 2 times. Some manuf only give one and done!
Getting a new MMSI is easy via either BoatUS or SeaTow.

This is correct. You can edit your registration as many times as you want. You will not get or need a new MMSI number. I do this often with my handheld depending which boat I'm on.

You will NOT have to edit anything on your VHF, That number will be with it forever.
