Default What Electronics?

Hi Guys - I apologize in advance for the rent below.

I'm having a tough time coming to grips with what electronics configuration to go with.
When I think I have it figured out I end up changing my mind.

What I am sure of is to upgrade the B744 to a 1KW, put 3G Radome on the roof and an HDS-12 Touch at the helm, this will interface with Sirius weather and AIS.

Next, I used to run a HDS7 up in my electronics box for redundancy and for another screen to display whatever the HDS8 down at the helm wasn't.

So I here is the dilemma, initially I thought to run an HDS9 up in the E-box, update the B744 transducer and call it a day. Then I started thinking about the NSS12, cant fit it in the E-box or at the helm in front of me but I could mount it on a bracket off to the side of the helm (old Sitex sonar used to be there). The NSS12 would provide me with the redundancy I need and also display mostly sonar and radar/chart when I need it. In the event I want to upgrade to Chirp I already have the NSS MFD to accommodate the BSM-2.

Sounds good but now instead of the NSS I'm thinking FCV-295 off the side of the helm instead and revert to an HDS-7 up in the E-box for MFD redundancy.

Guess what Im really looking for is the ultimate sonar. I fish the bay, inshore wrecks 50' - 100+' and the canyons trolling and chunking Tuna aboard my 27' Grady Islander.

Then a CHIRP system is the path to ultimate.

NSS12 with the CHIRP sounder sounds like a good idea. HDS Touch will also support CHIRP.
