Default Is the Furuno FCV-600L limited to a certain power

Hi, new here..

Does any one know if the Furuno FCV-600L limited to a certain power output of the transducer or can you put a 1kw transcducer on it?

Thanks!

Your first post...Welcome to the site !
And with your screen name you are either a fisherman or belong to the worlds oldest profession..

You can certainly add a higher quality multi element transducer if you choose...you will see a benefit.
You will have added sensitivity plus greater depth capability .

One bit of clarification beyond Gil's otherwise-excellent answer: Yes, a higher-quality transducer will likely give a superior result. But this will not be because of it's (coincidentally, in this case) higher power rating. It will be because it is, simply, a better transducer (particularly, having a lower "Q", it will produce less ringing). Your FCV-600L will still be operating at it's normal 350W output.
