Default 1000 watt vs 600 watt?

I have a Garmin 740s. Mostly snapper fish 100-200'. Looking to get Airmar B60 or B164. Installed B60 on boat before and loved it. Is the B164 overkill for what I'm doing or will I see benefits from it?

A single element B60 is a good general purpose unit..excellent shallow water coverage...and very cost effective.
The B164 is a 3 element transducer and is 6 times more sensitive at 50 kHz than the single element B60.
Both are commonly used for your depths...the B164 because of its increased sensitivity will have the edge in detecting targets holding closer to the bottom.
On the other side of the coin..the B164 costs 3 times the B60.
