Default TR-1 Upgrade

New boat is being delivered to my dock tomorrow. Got a call from TR-1 tonight telling me that according to my serial # I'm due for a ECU update. Anyone here have their TR-1 Updated? How long is the turnaround and do you have to recalibrate? If I do, the dealer is gonna handle this.

Boat is brand new and the dealer is a TR-1 distributor. Don't know how long he has had the AP on his shelf.

it would be nice if your systems were all integrated and they could do it with a chip like a map chip

Well I was supposed to have my boat delivered today, but the TR-1 put a squash on that. They contacted my dealer and told him to hold the boat, that their Northeast Rep was going to come by tomorrow and check out the situation. The software might not be up to snuff, but it looks like their customer service is.
i'll keep you posted on what happens. I'm going down to the dealer tomorrow to get the info 1st hand.

Ask them what it was that they had to update. There's lots of TR-1 owners and it would be good to pass it around for them. At first glance it doesnt sound like a trivial upgrade if they are willing to hold up delivery.

Just thought I'd keep you guys up to date. Instead of upgrading the software in my ECU, Nautimatic has sent my dealer a complete NEW unit to install in my boat. I thought this was a very good gesture on their part. If their service continues to be like this, I will be one happy camper.

Damn Fcal, you gotta wonder what they didn't tell you about what was wrong with the other one that they were in such a fidget to get their hands on it to check it out and ultimately replace it with a new one. You're right about their customer service...........from what we have all read on THT, they are second to none.......or course that is what you are paying for too.

Let us know how the new boat does for you............blowing like hell from the NE again for the next day or two down here.........where the heck is Spring ;?

I just got mine back from update, sent it out before it was installed so I can't comment on any type of recalibration. Turn around was pretty fast, they also made up the needed hoses for me according to my specs.
