Default Garmin Download What do I Need

Need help,I downloaded some updates from the Garmin Site for my Garmin 3210,but I don't know what hardware I need to install them,or even know if the latest software is even worth installing,Can some one help.

Just call Garmin and they will send you an update data card for a small fee and credit it back to your account when you return it.

You can download the updates directly onto an SD card that you stick in your computer and simply transfer the card to your unit and update from there ,,,, did it on my 5210. Visit the Garmin site..tells you how to do it.....

Not so simple. The 3xxx series plotters use the Garmin proprietary data card, and you need their special card reader/writer. SD cards do not work. Best bet is to call Garmin, pay the deposit on the update card, and return it for a refund.

I believe that Garmin recently stopped offering the free update with refund by mail. No it's something like $25 plus $9-10 for shipping.
