Default Simrad Auto Pilot AP22 stuck in "Test Mode"

Boots up and screen immediately reads

after several seconds

Lysniva: 06 (stays on for 3 or 4 seconds)
Kontrast: - 04
Lysniva: 0-10 (starts at 0 and counts up to 10 and stays on for 3 or 4 seconds)

HW rev: 000
Temp: 069
Volt: 119
Kurs: 000 10 (stays there)

Pressing Standby or the Nav Key has no affect. Various key combinations do nothing. The only thing that does work is that holding down the Standy key will shut the unit off.

Manual is no help as it does not mention 'test mode'.

Anyone ever have this problem?

Usually an issue with the port or starboard dodge button being held down (I forget which) due to breaking off of the plastic rivets that hold the keypad membrane retainer in place - I can probably fix it if you want to send it, no guarantees though, as when the rivets break, water can get in and there may be other problems.

The test mode is started by pressing and holding the Stbd button while powering up. So, either the Stbd button is stuck or defective.
