Default Garmin 541

Have a new boat (to me). No GPS at all. Going to go with a Garmin 541. Going to rig it so it is removed. The space won't allow for a larger unit - and the boat type doesn't warrant it.

Any issues with these units? I have the SD chip from a previous unit.

Thank you.

Thank you for the review. I couldn't tell from that review - is the chip I have worth having or is all of its data now resident on the system?

I read some reviews. 541s vs 546s. Cost is about 1/3 more fpr the 546. Is there a general consensus as to whether or not the higher resolution screen is worth it?

Go with the 546. I have the 536, lakes version, and the better resolution is noticable on sunny days. My buddy has the 531... He wishes he had the 536.
