Default Waypoint Management Software?

I have so many waypoints marked on my NSE12 from marking fish that I'd like to:

1.) Download all from my NSE12
2.) Load them onto my computer at home
3.) Delete all the unnecessary waypoints that I marked fish
4.) Reload only the waypoints I want to keep - back onto my NSE12

Is there a free management software out there to do this using Google Earth, or being compatible between the two? I thought I read about the software on here somewhere but cannot find it now.

i would be of interest as well.
There is a back up you can do, but once you have backed it up I'm not sure what programs or software u can use to access it.
Have you tried loading the data in google earth?

Navionics had a PC app that I thought would do this. Has anyone tried it recently?

GPSVisualizer and GPSBabelizer are online apps. They work albeit a little tedious and sometimes you have to convert to an in-between format for your particular set up.

Google earth is the platform for editing so to speak.

I think I need to go from Lowrance .usr to .kml or .kmz.....can't remember off the top.

The marine electronics companyies want their format to be proprietary but don't care to help you convert. Dollars and cents I guess.....short sighted view.

I use Garmin's Homeport planning software then save it GPX format and upload into my SImrad NSS8. Same going the other way from the NSS8 save it in GPX format and load it into Homeport.
