West marine is an authorize dealer for raymarine. they limited to to MAP(minimum advertised pricing) that is set by the manufacturer. If they or other authorized dealers advertise below that price, then they risk losing their status as authorized dealer. Thats why they don't advertise the lowest prices.

That's fine, but I really don't want to research every item I buy to get the lowest or lower price. I have purchased many smaller items to find they were 50-100% higher then some other local stores. I like their stores and products, just not the way they go about pricing.

My preference is to support the local economy whenever possible.

The folks at West Marine are great, both in the brick and mortar AND on the water.

Not only do they price match, but their West Advantage sends me 4% back in coupons.
