Default Another JL question

Ok I have not clue when it comes to speakers or electronics so need some help. I had a JL audio M6600 class A/B Six channel amp installed 2 years ago on to the boat. Well the factory installed sony speakers are blown out so time to upgrade. I am looking at JL. Can I go with the MX series or do I need to spend the money and get the M series. What is the real difference other than price? Also is there another brand that I should look at. I don't mind spending the money, but would like to save some if I can. Thanks for all your help. Oh and I did do a search, but am still confused. Thanks.

Chad

The M series are made with better internal components. They are rated for 100 watts rms and the MX are rated for 75 watts rms. Your amp pushes 75watts rms at 14volts and 60watts rms at 12 volts. The M series is a step above if you are looking for the best sound possible.

I would just go with the MX since you dont really have the power to take advantage of the bennefits of the M series.
