Default Transducer options on Edgewater boat

I have an Edgewater 22ft cc, that i would like to upgrade the electronics on within the next month. I'm pretty sure i'm going to go with the new Simrad NSS 12 with the BSM-1 fishfinder module. What i'm not sure about is which direction to go on the transducer.

My fishing is normally split 50/50 in bay areas (bridges and marshes) and running offshore no more then 10 miles out. The water depth ranges from 8 to 250 feet.

Another key point is that i high and dry the boat. I currently have a Garmin / w in-hull transducer.

While during my research on drill thru-hull, it seems the B164 highlights a boat being trailered, which i assume is same a high & dry, and it wouldn't damage the unit. Is the B60the same build quality to handle the high n dry?

I'm i really getting any image quality improvements over a 600w and 1000W transducer based on the depth of water i normal fish in?

Simrad site says the in-hull would have to be M260. Does this unit actually have two lenses like the ss264? Element and Lens are the one and the same? The boat has a section in the aft that is all glass to mount. I know i lose water temp, which i currently don't have.

looking forward to your replies.
