Default Sirius LWX-1 price differences?

Can someone explain to me why the Lowrance LWX-1 weather module is priced most places at around $199.99. I've seen it for as low as $99.00 and others have it for around $349.00. Are these all the same unit or am I missing something?
Thanks

Yes - The new "MSRP" is supposed to be $99 bucks with $99 dollar rebate. I talked to the Sirius guys at the Miami boat show 2 weeks ago. Some people have it for $199 aothers for 149.
I noticed the priced too all over the place-- -I think that a lot of retailers have not adjusted or maybe are stuck with them? I ordered one yesterday in the 99 range. Hodges Marine has it.

I think Navico (Lowrance) has a new Sirius box in the works Gen 2. Just speculating.

Here is what the Sirius guy told me - Sirius only gets subscriptions if people have cheap hardware - hence free in new cars, cheap aftermarket. Navico, or whoever gets a subsidy to sell the unit so that it is activated and the fees are paid. Sirius wants the price point lower so they offer a kickback to Navico to sell the units at a cheaper cost, and in turn they give the consumer a rebate. Or they have a new unit coming out and want to move the old one..... like bluewater pirate said
