Default Need help with new electronic purchase $4500

I have a 2520 Parker pilot house boat; Iím on the long island sound. I fish from 15 to 150 feet. Need to purchase a good fish finder and chart plotter. My budget is $4500.Iím thinking 2 separate units at least two 8inch screens. I like furuno FCV585 with a 1K transducer for fish finder, but the side scan would be nice for wreck fishing. I donít think the Lawrance, Raymarine or Garmin has the same power when it comes to their bottom sonar as the 585 (I could be wrong). The chart plotter could be Raymarine, Lawrance or maybe Garmin (never used Garmin charts). I can surface mount a 12 inch screen and the other would be bracket mounted. I always had standalone machines, but I like the idea of two MFD communicating and switching screens.

I have a couple of brand new, never opened Raymarine C90W with full warranty that I am looking to sell.
You could have 2 screens (9") fully networkable for $2900 for both.
Once you add a DSM and transducer, you will be well under your budget. PM me if interested.
Keep in mind that a 600w transducer will work just fine in the depth you are looking at. A 1000w is not necessary to obtain these depths.
If you would like side scan, then you might want to go with Lowrance or Simrad with the structure scan. The new Lowrance Hds GenII with the structure scan overlay is great.

I just went through the same scenario. I opted for the 585 with a 1KW transducer for my bottom machine. I don't think you can beat it without going to the CHIRP set up. For my chartplotter, I didn't want to go with 5 year old technology so I went with the new Raymarine E125. Just introduced at the Miami boat show and should ship next month. It is a touch screen hybrid (has buttons also when needed). If you want to stay with a single screen you can either add a black box to the Ray or get the E127 which has a built in sounder but is only capapble of 600w. If you are looking for bottom structure to fish I would stay with a 1kw ducer as the detail is night and day. You can get the E125 and the 585 with 1kw ducer for about what your budget is. I added radar to my package so it ran it up a little higher.
