Default Combo Chartplotter Sonar around $1000

Are there any rebates or incentives going on right now?

Looking for the biggest screen, most detailed charts first...sonar second.

Budget is $1000. +-

Thx

Try a Lowrance HDS 7 - there are rebates on the Gen 1 models right now. Very good unit and amazing bottom machine. Very expandable in the event you want to add to it. I have a HDS and a Simrad NSS. Love them both. For your price range though, I cant see how you can beat the HDS.

If you can still find a Gen I HDS the $200 rebate was extended through the end of May. For the money, it's tough to beat.

I don't see any 1st Gen HDS-7's out there.

I think Raymarine A57 is what I'm going with..

Pretty big jump in price vs. the A57D ($621.03 vs. $895.00=$273.97 difference)

Lowrance 2-year warranty. Raymarine 3-year. Yes...It's a tad larger screen 5.7" vs. 6.4" Both are soild choices.

The difference in screen area is about 25%. The difference in actual screen area available for sounder and plotter usage is actually larger since Raymarine uses a separate data line while Lowrance uses data overlay.

Lowrance has recently introduced some kind of 5 years service program, since I don't live in US I've not studied the details.

I'm very happy with my A50d. Search my posts for my reviews/comments.
