Default Lexerd: Garmin 740S Screen Protector?

Hi All: I was poking around & I found this website:

http://lexerd.com/

Never heard of this company but I'm thinking about a Garmin 740S purchase & I didn't want to scratch-up my screen or have to clean it with a lint-free cloth all of the time. Looks like a great idea if it doesn't take away from the resolution & colors. It's mentions no issues with touch screens!

Anyone have any insight on this product?

I LOVE the 740S but I'm afraid it will get "scratched-up" over time with the touch-screen!

I've had mine just under two years little over 500 hours of offshore use. I've used wet towels, paper towels, gloves to clean the screen it's glass. The other issue is a protective skin could impede the touch screen functionality.

it's glass, clean it with a broom if you want....unless it gets etched with water, you can't really harm it...4 years on a 4210 and still looks new - not covered at all except for canvas entire dash cover...

I didnt use that particular one but used one for an i pad and it was a pain in the neck . It wouldnt work with your pointer finger but if you used your thumb it would work. Doesnt sound like a big deal but got rather annoying when you needed instant feedback. Needless to say we took it off and haven't had any issues with screen .
The brand I used was zagg invisashield
