Default FCV-585 v CVS-128

G'day to all
I just would like to hear your thought on two of this product .
if you got good and bad thing to say, just say. I would like to hear it all, and why Furuno and not si-tex or another way around .This things are not chip at all so I have to make right decision
My JRC 55 is very old and tired so looking for upgrade very soon
I need something which will last in very hot sun, sea spray and take lot of bashing around
and also perform very good in 5m as in 500m

thanks
ausway

As far as stand alone bottom machines, unless you jump up to a Furuno 295, I don't think you can beat the 585. However to get the most out of it you need to have the 1kw ducer. I have the 585 on my boat and have no complaints. Until I bite the bullet and get something with CHIRP the 585 is the way to go.

agree, unless you are going to the 3000$+ machines the 585 is perfect. Hell I like how user friendly of the 585 and 620 are.

"Simple machines that do great things" ~ Jonathan Bennett... yes I will sell that tag line to Furuno if they with
