Default Is the Raymarine E125 out yet? If not, when?

I have taken the plunge and I am having my dash reglassed and reconfigured to accommodate 3 E125's.

I am not in a huge rush, but I am running my boat 1,000 miles from CA to OR in June and would like to have at least one E125 installed by then.

I have searched online and I don' see anyone who has them in stock and a local installer said that they will not be out for a few months.

Anyone know the skinny on when they are going to be available?

Anybody know where I can get a template (I am currently going off the specs from the webpage) to make it easier for my glass guy to configure my dash?

Thanks,

Mike C

The E125's have not been released and none will be available until mid to late March.

You can get one of these and use for a dash layout.

I purchased (ordered) one at the Miami Boat Show on Sunday. They said that they would be shipping middle to end of March.

I am in the same situation and am glassing in my dash now. I spoke to Raymarine tech support and they are saying end of March/April beginning. Here is the layout of my dash and what I plan to do. Wanted originally to go with dual E9's but just not enough dash space. so instead went with E125 flanked by i70 and p70r. Picture enclosed. once I can figure out how to include.

that is the reason I am selling my cables in hte part forum is due to this change in plans.

regards,

rob

How does this unit compare to the Gamin?

...How does the Ipad integration work?

Just my opinion, but after playing with it at the Miami Boat Show, I would say it is much better than the Garmin 5212 and more in line with the 7212. As far as the Ipad / Iphone integration, you have to download a free app called Raytalk. Then you add device via Bluetooth.

Is there a place in metro Miami I could go and demo the unit?

The only thing I kind of dislike is that RM uses Sirius Weather & not XM. Not a deal breaker by any means. I may hold off for the 9" screen, or may just go with the E7D. Contact Semperfifishing. He posts here all of the time & he is very informative. Plus...He'll give you a soild deal. I'll be giving Gil my business when I decide.

Here is his info:

We have alll of the new E Series and C Series pricing on our website. I am not exactly sure when they are due out. If you want to get a feel for the user interface just go find an E7 display. Its pretty much identical. The E7's have been out for a while.

E-Series Models and Prices - HERE
C-Series Models and Prices - HERE

You can pre-order on the site.

BOE, thanks for posting. Any idea if Garmin will lower their prices?

I have not seen anything in the pipeline. Sales are still actually quite strong. Garmin has the whole "easy" thing going for them which nobody else has been able to duplicate. They do run rebates from time to time, so maybe we'll see one of them. But again, I have not seen anything to that effect.

I was able to get ahold of the E125 installation template yesterday from tech support. If anyone wants a copy PM me and I'll respond. The size exceeds what I can attach here.

rob

Smile Raymarine e125 and e95

Hello Fellow Sailors:

I have just installed a P70 Autopilot and i70 multifunction display at each helm on my 49 Beneteau. I have also ordered the new e125 and e95 Raymarine chart plotters. They are touchscreen and fast. I figure end of March, early April! Annapolis Yacht Sales did the work and did a great job!

Colbachlaw, I have it from a very reliable source that the new product will be out sometime in late March. You should have yours in plenty of time for your June trip.

Rob,

Thanks for installation template. My glass guy is making my new dash this week and the templates eliminate a lot of guessing.

Guys, thanks for the updates on the release dates.

My RM contact is telling me the same thing. The good thing is that RM is supposed to be doing this the right way. They should have a whole bunch of them in the pipeline by the release date. They are also listening to guys like us and are already working on software updates for some of the complaints people had about the E7.

I can't wait to get my new e125's and my HD 12KW radar. This is the first time I have been able to pick out my electronics and not just settle for what the guy before me wanted.

The software the E7 is running is not the final product think it as scaled back beta version. That won't be released until they get all the other componets on the market.
