You'll notice that you will not get many replies on a SH GPS unit around here. The SH GPS units have such a small market-share vs. Garmin & others. Too bad because they are a real value GPS. I own the bigger brother CPF390i here:

Love it! Uses C-MAP Max cards & it comes with a 3-year warranty. Standard Horizon's customer service is the best in the business as well. The CP 180i has been replaced with the CP190i a few months ago.

If you're thinking to buy new...Then I would go with the newer CP190i. There is a $100.00 rebate for C-MAP cards right now. Either way it's a soild unit.

Good Luck!

Default Cp180

I have one on my tower and have had it now for 2 or 4 years. It takes a lot abuse up there, especially when I wash the tower and boat. It has never skipped a beat since I owned it.
It is small (5"). It works well in the tower. I have not used it to its full capability, like using it for going to a series of waypoints. I usually set it to go to one.
