I'm sure the audiophiles will argue with me but in the wind, specs don't mean much other than RMS power. Get any marine amp from clarion, fusion, Alpine kenwood or JL....

Fire up google and call jim at BOEmarine.com

I know it's more than you want to spend but the PDX-4.100M is a monster! I had one in my last boat on two pairs of SPR-M700's and it rocked. One of the things I like most about it is the compact size. They are also very efficient and produce very clean stable power without tons of heat. I have not ruled out putting another one on my new boat.

Poly-Planar ME400D

The ME-400D Class D Power Amplifier provides 500 watts (125W x 4 CH) of crisp, clean audio power. This amplifier can be easily configured to enhance your listening pleasure. Gold plated connections resist corrosion.

• 4 Channel Class D Power Amp
• 2 ohm stable stereo outputs
• Bridgeable outputs
• Variable input level controls for
each pair of channels
• Variable High-pass, Low-pass and
All-pass crossover.
• Variable Bass Boost circuit

looks like its about $225

I have never been a fan of anything Poly Planar makes with the exception of their 9060 box speakers. As Capitan Katz mentioned....It "may be" a decent amp, but I would take a pass on it myself. PP=fair @ best marine product IMHO.

Glen E. will agree with me on this...Clarion Marine makes a wonderful amp for semi-short money! $219.99 with free shipping (no sales tax) with get your a 90WPC 4-Channel amp.

It's a win-win!

PS: Apline makes a very nice amp (no question) but @ what price? They are so expensive!
