Default Sonic Hub dock size

I currently have a Sony head unit/ CD player with a Sony cover to protect it from water, etc. The Sony unit is dead and I would like to replace it with the Sonic Hub as I recently purchased a Lowrance HDS unit.

Will the sonic hub docking station fit in the single DIN hole in my dash?
If not what can be used to make it look professional?
I assume others have done this... maybe?

Thanks in advance

Dimensioned drawings are in the installation manual - pg 20

http://www.lowrance.com/Products/Mar...Hub/Downloads/

40x127 mm is the size of the opening needed to insert the dock but the face is larger. Not a DIN setup however - then outer dimensions of the faceplate are 68x157 mm at their largest outer measurements. A DIN opening is 50x180 mm.

Make an acrylic or starboard panel to cover the existing opening (and probably then a bit more) then cut a hole for the SonicHub dock.

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately that’s what I was afraid of.
I will look into starboard or something. Hopefully I can find something that will look nice!

I can't put my hands on it right now it there are folks that will make a custom dash panel to cover previous installations - acrylic, carbon fiber, aluminum, etc - laser etched, etc - depends on how "nice" you want to spend
