Default Opinions on Ray A57D?

I've been considering my options for a combo GPS/FF unit for my crappy ol' boat and have settled on the Raymarine A57D. (mostly due to affordability right now with the rebate, and the features you get in a combo unit). I haven't had great experience with ray products in the past (had an E-120 that was problematic keeping the finder working consistently) and was wondering if the "new" Ray marine stuff is any better than the older stuff from 5 years ago?

Also- has anyone added the Sirius weather option onto their A57?

any input/opinions/advice are appreciated-

thanks! Bob

I've got one. Just use it for maps. Works fine. Visibility in direct sunlight has been an issue due to the angle i have it flush mounted on. Hopefully when I get my t-top on and get some shade that will help. Larger is better I wish now i had gone a larger screen.

The a70d, a57d .... same units, different screen size.

You will be very satisfied with their VERY sensitive GPS and that DF rocks.
