Default Minn Kota On-board Charger

I have a 3 bank Minn Kota on board charger...I filled the batteries with water and forgot on charge for 4 days....did i harm my batteries?

I Leave mine all the time to maintain the Batteries, mine is the MK220. they are automatic.

U should be fine- they are self-regulated chargers these days.....

I believe water is added after the battery is charged. However, there's no way you harmed the batteries. Ok, you may have shortened their life by a week. When you realize the battery abuse many boaters indulge in you really don't have anything to worry about.

I called Minn Kota to ask if it was ok to run 6v batteries in a 24v setup for my trolling motor. The tech said the only problem may be that after 24h the charger will default to maintenance level, so I would have to unplug/replug to get a full recharge.

So after 24h your only on trickle, no worries.
