Default Garmin G2 Vision Question

I have a Garmin 7212 with the G2 Vision card. I was expeting to see a 3D presentation on the screen. All I see is the demensions of the sonar cone. I understand that I fish mostly inshore and that the seabed is very flat, but I do not see the 3D even when I go through the inlet channel where there are sharp drop offs. Basically, in fish eye view all I see a flat seabed with the sonar cone. Nothing like the demo on the site. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is no bathymetric data (detailed bottom data) for inshore back bays, and inlets. So that is all you will see in those areas. Inlets change so often you would need to update it every week to be accurate anyway.

The detailed data for underwater 3D stuff is mainly offshore....

Thanks Birdman, that explains it. The Garmin examples are pretty misleading; they show land and the drop offs. I didn't expect to see anything much nearshore, but I did expect detail around the inlet. At least now it won't be driving me nuts. Thanks again.
