Default Card Reader for waypoints

OK, Helping a friend. He has a Raymarine E120 & Northstar 6100.
We are looking for software and card reader to move around waypoints from each unit using a laptop.. And BTW its my laptop so i want to also put info into my 5212 garmin LOL
Is there something out there ?

Well, this can be done. For the Raymarine E series and the NorthStar, you will need a CF card reader. The Garmin you will need an SD reader. The Raymarine files can be easily converted to the Garmin, but the NorthStar files can be a challenge.

It has a variety of related utilities as well....GPS Babelizer is great for converting from one format to another. Tkaes a little trial and error as to the scope of what in your file actually gets converted (sometimes its waypoints, sometimes WP's plus routes). A little patience and persistence goes a long way.

I use it to take my HDS-10 trails and waypoints and convert them to .kml for Google Earth and vice versa.

Nice to see your points and trails in a crisp clear satellite view....handy in shoalie areas like Chatham, MA.
