Default auto pilot wont power up

Hello, I have a ST6000+ and hooked up to a SL70 radar, that the dome is not working due to excessive corrosion, that was in a boat I recently purchased, and cannot get the unit to power up, I have tested the display and it will power up with other source, not getting power to the any connectors, I suspect either on board comp is bad, but can not find where it originally is powered. it is on a sport craft stern drive, and all appears to be conected. I have researched online for this infor and have not had any luck, thanks

Just in case you don't have the manual, here it is including Installation in ch. 6:

How many cables & connectors are plugged into the back of the control head? I'm wondering if the inoperative radar may be hooked up to one of the SeaTalk jacks but the drive computer might not be hooked up to the other SeaTalk jack? For now that is more imprtant than whether the NMEA cable is hooked up.

I don't know anything about these Raymarine A/P's but know my Simrad A/P's junction box ( like your drive computer) has at least one and maybe more fuses in it, so you may check in there. If there is no power getting to the control box try jumping to it from a good (appropriately-fused DC+ source and also to a good DC - ground. If it works with just one of those hooked up you know to fix that side of the pwer supply.

I have no idea whether this stuff is applicable to your A/P, but for reference this is what a quick search of Ebaymotors turned up:

If you are unable to find the course/drive computer "black box" or have found that and can't figure how to verify that unit has power to it or check for fuses , It may save a lot of trouble & time to just have an electronics installer take a peek at it. He/she should be able to quickly determine whether any of the A/P parts have power ( and how far) and have potential to function properly. Could even be something as simple as a wire left off the battery + or -, or a switch, or a corroded connector or fuse holder , and so on, but A/P units do die. .
