Default Lowrance LCX-104C

I was wondering if anyone can give me advice on the Lowrance LCX-104C or the LCX-19C. I am trying to decide if I should get one of these combo units or the Garmin 182C and a Furuno 582L for a 2860cc ProKat.

Thanks, Jim

Sorry Boathouse .. no help, just saw those units today, and the FCV600L Furuno and am trying to decide also. That Lowrance 104 looks real real nice.

Those Lowrance units are too new for anyone to have any real experience with them. That said, there are more Lowrance units on small boats than any other brand - that should tell you something.

Hi guys

I did the analysis and ended up with the 104C because I thought it would do the best job, and I loved the display in bright sunlight and it works with my Raymarine autopilot. Hope to test before too too too too long.

Jim I rigged a new boat with a Lowrance LCX-15MT which is the mono unit similar to the color combo that you are looking at with a smaller screen. When I got out and actually used the unit I didn't like split screen and ended up buying the new Lowrance 7000C chartplotter which is absolutely great. I am now using the LCX-15MT as a fishfinder only and a back up GPS.

By the way, make sure and buy a Navionics chip for the unit. Great detail and I love the contour lines.

Jim:

I have the 15ci with an airmar B256 thru hull transducer.

Last week we fished a tournament and was trolling in canyons reading 2700 ft.

It is my understanding the 104C has a much faster processor and should work even better in re-draw.
