Question Which JL Amps?

If I run 8-7.7 JL speakers---2 JL subwoofers with a Fusion head unit should I go with 2-MHD 900/5 amps or 2-M400/4 and 1-M600/1. I want a clean and loud system but I wonder would this be an excessive draw on a three battery system.30 foot cc boat.Should I get a fourth battery?

Go with the MHD 900's. Perfect match for that number of speakers. I fish with a couple of buddies with that exact set up. It will sound amazing. Get the fourth battery. They are thirsty amps!

Thanks to both of you! I've always had junk radios but no more.

Would two more subs be even more of a draw on the batteries as my worry is the batteries going dead while anchored. I just don't know much about electronics and I really appreciate your input.

those amps are going to pull power. depending on how you have your system set up i have no idea. but i dont think 2 more subs are going to hurt you all that much. you are basically 4 x 100 on the stereo channels and 1 x 300 at 4 ohms and 1 x 500 at 2 ohms on the sub channel. so in theory with 2 more subs you are pulling 200 more watts. The amps are 60 amp fused so you shouldnt be pulling more than 45 -50 when running them hard and i doubt you will have them up loud enough for extended periods of time to really do that. i have 3 of them and never had a voltage issue. just be smart dont crank for 6 hours and wonder uhhh what happened.
