Default Sounder Needed for Navnet 1 system

I need a Furuno 6/10 sounder for my Navnet1 system. Not sure what other sounder model is compatible? The 6/10 is what was in my boat.

Is there anything gained with resolution by replacing a 6/10 with the DFF1 ?

Depends on your fishing conditions and transducer you are now using.

The ETR-6/10N requires the optional MB-1000 distribution box for 1 KW & 50/200 kHz use.
The DFF1 is easily selectable for 600/1000 watts and can be directly connected to most recreational transducers now in use.

The DFF1 is a full digital unit and will automatically adjust out power, adjust gain etc to give better traget in varying depths and conditions.
The DFF1 has better shallow water use as it is very good at suppressing surface clutter and will automatically adjust and increase the transmission rate.
TheDFF1 is a far better unit and if matched with the proper transducer will outperform the 6/10 in every area.

And most importantly...if you buy a new DFF-1 your hard earned dollars are all we need to improve the growth of our struggling economy..lead us into a bull stock market ..and give us world peace.

On the other hand if you stick with your old 6/10 at least the world fish population will be safe.

Yes, with the proper transducer the difference is huge.

SemperFi/Cazador,

Based on my research the best high performance transducer a pre '08 Navnet1/dff1 combo can use is the B258. Is that correct? I wanted a ss270w but doesn;t look compatible.
