There's a bit spendy one with antenna on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/North...item3f0d79aff1

If interested, you might ask for the ser# to see if it has a D or W suffix to indicate it has differential or WAAS correction software, but the antenna looks like a DGPS combi.

I thought that the Pentagon finally "turned off" their scrambling/Selective availablility of the GPS signal thereby negating the need for a differential hence a non-differential GPS became just as accurate as a Differential GPS. Is this not true?

Yes, S/A was turned offin May of 2000.

No , uncorrected GPS positioning (originally<20 m, now < 10m??) is generally not as reiliably accurate as DGPS -corrected positioning to puportedly <3-6 m . http://www.pnt.gov/public/sa/faq.shtml

Most new GPS receivers employ even more accurate (in most cases) WAAS correction systems , which they certinly would not if there was no difference in accuraacy. WAAS accuracy :
(scroll down) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wide_Ar...ntation_System :
"Accuracy
The WAAS specification requires it to provide a position accuracy of 7.6 metres (25 ft) or better (for both lateral and vertical measurements), at least 95% of the time.[2] Actual performance measurements of the system at specific locations have shown it typically provides better than 1.0 metre (3 ft 3 in) laterally and 1.5 metres (4 ft 11 in) vertically throughout most of the contiguous United States and large parts of Canada and Alaska"

Scroll farther down in that link to see a comparison chart.

So much for derailing the OP's request. If anyone has a selectively? available 952, let turbog know.

Default WTB Northstar 952

I have a Northstar 952 that was purchased in 2002 and removed in March 2009. The 952 was working when removed to install a Garmin 5212. I needed a larger screen due to age related eye issues.
