Default LSS-1 on a deep V hull- 2 transducers ?

I have a Bertram 33 with an HDS-8 installed last month using an existing transducer. In October I am going to haul out for maintenance before winter rockfish season gets going, and I want to install Lowrance's LSS-1 sidescan system.

An electronics sales guy told me that if I use thru-hull sidescan transducers, I would have to have 2 , one on each side of the boat, because of the V of the hull. Sounds logical, but has anyone else done it, and what are your results ?

Thumbs up

I have a 24 1/2 dead rise on my boat and I went with a bronze through hull ducer placed on the keel of the boat and it does fine up to 110 ft deep so far. Hope this helps, I'll try to post you a screen shop if I can figure out how to put it on here,or I can email it to you.I also can get you a picture of my keel.
