Default Garmin Swap

I'm needing to take my Garmin 4208 and put it in another boat for a trip. I don't need the GSD22. Can I just hook-up the power cable and antenna and just use it as a GPS.

Depends on the antenna. If you have a newer one with a nmea2000 antenna you'll need to bring the nmea2000 network too. If the older one called the 17HVS then it is hard wired to your power data cable. When you first installed it..if your antenna just plugged right into something then its the nmea2000 type. If you had to splice some wires then its the older type.
