Simrad NSE and NSS are excellent units. Much better fishfinder than Garmin.

Everyone does this now. Furuno, Garmin, Raymarine, Simrad, Lowrance. You just need to pick the flavor you want!

Standard Horizon is the best bang for your buck, IMHO

SH uses C-Map, which I have found to be excellent. The ff is also top notch; no frills, it just works. As to ease of use, I think that they have the same learning curve that you would expect to find in any of the current crop of modern MFDs. SH also has the best warranty in the business, 3 years no questions asked.
