Default Lowrance LMS-522C iGPS

Would like to save my waypoints to the SD card.
Found something in the menu to transfer data to SD card.
Maybe I don't have the right software to view it.
Tried GDM6 and easyGPS software and no luck.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

A couple of suggestions...

First and most important, DO NOT save the waypoints onto your mapping card - it can damage the map file.

Buy a new SD card, and use that to save the waypoint file to. Or if you have an older (small capacity) card (ie from a camera etc) that will do the job, as sometimes Lowrance units do not like the new 1GB and larger cards for some reason.

Secondly, GDM will read the saved file but only if you save it as the correct version. When saving on the LMS, you will have some options as to which version you want to use. I havent done this for a while so to be honest I have forgotten which version, but you can easily overcome this by saving the file 3 times, each time using a different version and file name to reflect the version used to save it.

Then you should find that you will be able to successfully open one of those versions on your PC using GDM6.

Hope this helps!

Save the waypoint data in .GPX format. This is a universal format and can be imported easily to other chart programs.
