Default C80 fishfinder settings

Hey,

I need help to see if my system is working fine. I have C80 with DSM250 and P66 airmar transducer. Fishing in the GOM, the depth finder gets confused somehow and don't even transmit a depth. We are in 500-1000 ft of blue water. Can anybody let me know what kind of settings they have in the fishfinder for fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.

If it's 600 watts it might not make it past 600 feet. Or that has been my experience with Garmin and their transom mount transducer. I think the P66 is supposed to be better though. Is it mounted correctly?

I get 1000ft on my Raymarine DS600X so you should get the same or better. Check the transducer fitting

PS what khz you using at depth? you will need 50khz to get better depth
