Default TR-1 Autopilot Install into Northriver Seahawk

Hi, 1st post on the forum, ought to introduce myself.

No matter how a guy introduces himself on a forum, it may sound cheesey. Name is Corey Thrasher, from WA State. Love fishing, hunting and anything outdoor related.

Now, to business...(hopefully this specific question hasn't been asked yet)

I am looking at doing an install of a TR-1 Gold Autopilot into my 2008 21' Northriver Seahawk with a Yamaha T-8, and before I take on this project, I was curious if anyone else has done this install on this particular style boat? Also, I am contemplating whether or not to add the wireless remote. I have heard mixed opinions on this due to it's vulnerability to the weather.

If so, where is the most common and convenient place to mount the pump and also the compass ball?

From what I gather, it's not a tough install but it needs to be planned out ahead of time.

If anyone can offer some insight as to the locations of these piece and any other helpful tips, I would certainly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance

Had that setup in my Triton 2690. Location of the pump and compass ball depend on the setup of your boat. I put the compass ball inside the gunnel walls under my helm and the pump under my helm seat. There was a storage space there.
Just make sure you have the pump on a nice solid part of the boat, cause it vibrates.

I mounted the pump on the floor at the transom behind the rear hatch cover, I built a raised mount to keep it above the deck about 4"
The track ball was more difficult to find a suitable location, I finely mounted it under the left side gunwale.
The wireless remote would be nice but I have heard that the react slowly.
You will love it.
Heading to Sekui next week to put mine to work.
