Have you looked at the Lowrance HD systems?

Are you installing yourself? Since installation costs are quite similar no matter which brand you choose (and very significant), I would stick with Furuno.

All 3 radars are fine and comparable. Forget radar, compare the chartplotter software, and choose the one with the features you need/like and software you find easiest to use (use each of them in a store, don't just click a button or two, USE them for 1/2 hour).

Enjoy you new Garmin!!!

Raymarine and Furuno are nice, but they are also quite pricey. If you want a sound unit that is also easy on the wallet, look into a Garmin, they are easy to use and very reliable. Like Birdman said though, find a shop that has units on display and mess around with them for awhile, see what you like and would be comfortable with having.
