NMEA 2000 command link to Yamaha
We have 2004 F-115 Yamahas and need to know if they are NMEA capable. Or is the only option we have for fuel usage is to splice the fuel line with the EP-60R sensor for each engine? We have the Lowrance HDS-10 unit.

I have a 2009 Yam F150. I hooked up the Yam/Network connector (front of engine under cowling), and expected it to read or display fuel usage ect....
But, it didn't work. In a nutshell, I found out you have to have a inline EP-60R for it to work on the the dash engine readout within your HDS10. So, I purchased the fuel flow sensor EP-60R and installed after the water/Fuel separator and it works now. |
Don't think the 2004 would be NMEA capable. I believe it is the 2007 EFI 50 hp and up motors that are, so you would need the EP-60R.
If your engine is NMEA compliant, you do not need the EP-60R for fuel flow, it is part of the output from the engine. If you want to use the fuel usage on HDS, then you can purchase the EP-85R, which is a memory module that stores fuel usage information in the event the HDS is off. |
Thanks for the feed back.
