Default Garmin 2006c problem

I was out fishing a couple of months ago and my gps (Garmin gpsmap 2006c) stopped working all of a sudden. It turns on and all, but always says "no satellite information available.". I double checked all connections and they are good. Even tried a new antenna, to no avail.

Does anyone have any ideas? A new unit would be my last choice, but would really like to get out on the water soon...

I have the same unit and while having the boat moved they cut the cable going to the gps head. I tried everything all sorts of different connections to get it to work. I was just about to break down and get a new cable and gps head, when I found that there is a little 1 amp inline fuse from the GPS to the 2006C. that was my problem, when they cut the cable it blew the fuse.

Have you found and checked this fuse? If not, it is worth a shot.

Good luck
