Default garmin 3210 water temp wromg

the water temperature reading on my garmin 3210 is about 10 degrees warmer than the actual water temperature. other gps functions are working fine. any thoughts on what's wrong?

I think in most cases it has been the transducer that was giving the incorrect reading and not the 3210.

Airmar has got to do something with their temp sensors. I have had two go bad on previous transducers. Read on here a while back, that the temp sensors in the transducers are very sensitive to electrical surges and drops. Someone said to turn off the unit prior to cranking the motor.

What model transducer do you have? They do have a replacement sensor that is built into the paddle wheel on some of their models.

thanks for the responses. maybe there's some scum on the transducer that's affecting the reading.

Did you ever figure out the issue with the wrong temp reading? I am having the same problem and thinking about upgrading the transducer. I have an airmar 600 watt. Is the 1K the same size or larger?
