Default Connecting Sitex SVS650 to Garmin 4208

Hello,
I am having problems getting the Sitex svs650 ff to talk to the Garmin 4208. I have port #1 on the Garmin connected to a SH vhf so I was trying to use port #2 for the ff as follows:
Garmin Blue tx+ to Sitex white rx +
Garmin Brown rx+ to Sitex yellow tx + and the sitex Green to ground.
Is this right? The manual on the Sitex ff is rather vague do I need to set it up somehow?

Thanks for any advise.

Lucas

p.s. Has anyone used this ff ? Mainly plan to use in 100-300ft of water. Came with basic ducer 160 or something; is there a better option for this depth?.

thanks again

Your best option here would be at least an Airmar P66.

I sell a good many the Sit-tex SVS 650's and we only send them out with a P66..my customers have had nothing but positive results outfitted with the P66.
