Default Garmin 178c replacement suggestions

My Garmin 178c gps/finder bit the dust.

The pin connector had the power supply pin start corroding. I managed to keep it running. Learned that those units don't like drops in voltage. I am not sure why that pin decided to start corroding.

Finally, the pin broke off and because of the age, Garmin will not work on it.

Budget is very tight right now, finding a used 178c seems to be difficult. So I guess I need to replace the unit, but I don't wish to replace the transducer and wiring. Plus 600 to 1,000 bucks is not possible.

Any suggestions for a direct plug in with internal antenna.

or

Suggestion for a complete replacement on the less expensive end.

Broken pin replacement very simple to do with pen style soldering took .. Just open the unit up cut the wire with bad pin ..Heat the pin up till you can rotate the pin to remove from the moulded plastic . Take an old printer cable pin which is the same size as the pin solder a wire back on it and put silicone on the pin while your putting it back together, then simply resolder the two wires and your done
