Default gps and autopilot

has anyone ever had trouble with their autopilot staying locked on to the gps heading? yesterday i had trouble during part of the morning.the autopilot would beep and shut off it's gps mode. any thought? it did seem to work fine later in the day.

Perhaps you just lost satellite reception on the GPS? At which point the AP should continue on it's last compass heading. Just as it should do when you pass your waypoint.....Did it do that?
