Default jrc 1000 radar

anybody have any experience with this unit? Im looking for an inexpensive radar for some basic navigation.I run at night alot and need to pick up my markers.

If this is the monochrome radar, I have seen it on a friend's boat at night. It worked great and looked like it did everything it was supposed to. Talk to Mako Madness on this forum about it.

Default jrc 1000 radar

Used one for a couple years. It will do everything you need it do do as far as collision avoidance and navagation, just on a smaller scale. For the money I would spend about a 100 more and get the 1500.

Default jrc 1000 radar

Power Boat Mag. did a report on radars last year and the JRC got voted best bang for the buck. If you look at older Raytheon radars, once you take the cover off it was all JRC parts inside. They have been around for awhile and are great units for basic nav. needs.
