Default Bluechart Americas CD

Seem to have lost my CD, still have the box, codes etc. for the software, but no CD. I wanted to see if anybody out there had a spare they would be willing to send me, or copy?

Thanks,

Andy

Did you leave the CD in the computer? I think you SOL..unless you can fast talk Garmin. They have probably heard the story a few times. I doubt if another CD, borrowed, would help. I can only download one area to two units with out buying more another code. Both those unit have to be in my name, too. They keep serial numbers on all units, etc. Ask Garmin what they might suggest.

Think it got left at a hotel when I was on the road.

As far as the CDs, the media is the same... I already have unlock codes for my region that are tied to my 162, and I have data loaded into my unit, but if I need to use different data from that same region , then I am SOL.... Other fear is that if I upgrade the firmware, that I will lose my current data, and not have a source to put it back on.

And to pacify questions about to whether my request is legit, here is a copy of my CD cover, registration card etc.

If all else fails I will contact Garmin, but I have a feeling that they might be a pain.

You might be able to get a free "update" CD from Garmin if you purchased it not too long ago.

aalbert... Keep in mind to get another code is about $90.00, the whole CD is $130.00 or so. You're only out about $40.00. It could be worse. One other item; somebody put a little 'red' mark on the number, I can't quite read it! It'll turn up. Good luck.
