In an earlier post, I told you guys that I found a "deal" at BPS on a marine stereo kit by "Sound Barrier." The kit included a gimbal mount AM/FM/CD and speakers. I got it for $160 with tax. The first time we had a little shower, the receiver started changing volume level and stations. When it dried out, it worked fine. The next time I was out and a little moisture was introduced, it went berserk!!

I purchased the unit at BPS in Charlotte. The manager of the electronics department made good on the kit and sent me a better kit (Aquatronics) to replace it before I sent the bad one back.

I like good service, but I should have known not to "skemp" on HOT SPOT.

I had a Sound Barrier kit I installed in the T-top electronics box on my first boat. Sounded great. A little over a year and the CD player crapped out. Warrenty = 1 year.

Now I have Poly Planer stereo and speakers and love em.
