Default GP-36 and Chart Plotter Display

I have a Furuno GP-36 DGPS unit on my boat. I'd like to add an auxiliary chart plotter display. Is there an inexpensive way to interface just a chart plotter display with the NEMA interface, or should I just plan on installing a complete stand-alone chart plotter system and keep the GP-36 as a back-up?

I run a GP31 and connected it to my radar. The update to the radar is terribly slow. I would not try to use this to run a chartplotter. Get the stand alone.

I have the GP36 as backup,I use a Garmin 2006C plotter.I still use the furuno for when Im trying to get on top of a high spot to fish it,since the furuno does not have a chartplotter screen it updates faster, and I find it easier when I get real close to my spot.JMO
